yay! It's Friday!

VBS is over! I had a really good time, and it was nice to see our kids every day, but they wear me out. I'm looking forward to getting to go home after work tonight and stay home. Maybe it'll stop raining by then I can take a nice little swim in my pool. :o)

The scale this morning said 189.3. Of course it made me happy to see it going down, but I've gotta assume that the gain was water weight. I haven't been doing too terribly this week, but I haven't journaled and I know I ate more than what would justify actual pounds lost. I'm just glad to be getting back on track. Amanda (StrawGirl) suggested I check out South Beach (because it offers nuts) and I'm going to have to do my research. Phase One looks pretty restrictive, but that only lasts for 2 weeks. My main qualm with it is that I eat oatmeal EVERY morning, and you can't have that on Phase One. We'll see. I think food limiting diets are a little ridiculous, but I'd like to do something that #1) helps me play catch-up and #2) gives me a sort of detox.

I got a call from my Kelley that said my bridesmaid dress is in and I need to get fitted. I think that I'm a 14 by now, but at least since I ordered the 16 I won't have to worry about squeezing into it - they can just size it down. I really need to do some arm exercises. I've done some here and there and I can see an improvement, but the more weight I lose, the more flabby I get, and while my arms may be smaller I still have batwings. So, there's another reason why I need to be doing weight training. I'm still looking for a program online, but I might just do what I know will work. Maybe that can get me along until I can join a gym.

I'm so glad it's Friday! I plan to stay home a lot this weekend and catch up on housework and sleep. It should be a good time! :o)

I hope all of you have a fabulous Friday and a great OP weekend!!

Bat wings! I am working on getting those bat wings and sattlebags to go away...so far I have had the best luck (for home exercise) using the Slim in 6 video. I look like an idiot doing it but after two weeks my stomach is really shaping up and I can feel my arms getting stronger!
(Just an idea)

yay for the sacle moving. South beach is a bit restrictive but even if you just give it a try you can only help yourself.
Have a great weekend!

I think restrictive diets ARE nuts. Doesn't it just make you want what you can't have? Actually I'm a little skeptical of all diets. My SIL is doing LA weght loss and it's really working for her. But she's paying tons of money for them to tell her to eat more vegetables and less greasy foods. We all know what's healthy and what's not. We can easily learn what a portion size is. The trick is to just eat healthy. If you eat a cookie, whether it fits in your points or not, you know it's not helping you lose weight.

Bat wings are just a part of having super powers... I celebrate my batwings!!!!!!!!!!

By the way... I've done SouthBeach and the weight came SCREAMING off... but it sucked big time because it was so restrictive... maybe a couple of weeks just to jump start you would be okay, but long term...ewww, I hated it.

Phase 1 on SBD is hard. A lot of people I know skip phase 1 and jump right into phase 2. Or they only do phase 1 for a week. If you like eggs (I do), you can do Phase 1.

Have a nice and enjoyable weekend!! You deserve it after the busy week you've had!

Your dress is in!??!?! Mine isn't and it was ordered MONTHS ago. But it also wasn't ordered from David's Bridal either. Mine is scheduled to be in by August 25th--2 weeks before the wedding!

I'm going to have to check out this slim in 6 video. Sounds interesting...

I tried SBD, but it wasn't for me. I liked the fact that it gets the sugar out of your system, but finding things that have absolutely no sugar or no flour was really hard & boring. My friend is on it though-lost 22 lbs so far. This helping her diabetes.

Great job on moving that scale in the right direction. You have yourself a wonderful weekend too. :)

I have batwings too...was in a wedding last year where the bridemaids dress was lowcut and spaghetti strapped...In MN, in FEBRUARY! Needless to say that the bride and groom found a half dozen pictures from their disposable cameras focused on my boobs. I kid you not. I sympathize! :)
